Biology is a required class in order to graduate from HHS. Here are some opinions and some information about the class to better understand it!!
Biology is a class where you learn about “the scientific study of life and living organisms, exploring their structure, function, and interaction with their environment.” You will also do “Labs” where you get to do hands-on experiments with different topics. Such as microscope work, bacteria building, 3D models, measuring, etc.
My personal opinion about Biology is that it is a really fun class, and I love the labs and hands-on work we do. Tests and quizzes are after every unit, which I like because I can study, go to extra help, etc.
I asked a few students for their opinion on biology. Here are some answers,
“I like bio because it leads you to problem solve and be independent, especially during labs. Overall, it’s always a fun time in bio.”-Elasandra Garcia.
“I like bio since it’s better than last year’s science. There are more labs, and the things we learn about are more useful to understand our bodies.” -Genesis Garcia.
“I like Bio because it shows you good teamwork, work also helps you understand directions better, plus you learn more about the human anatomy” -Kenzie Lesser
Overall, people say they like Bio a lot and it’s useful for many different occasions. Next, we asked Mrs. Molinelli, a Biology teacher, her opinion on biology and why she started teaching it here. This is what she said: “When I was in 9th grade, I absolutely loved my Biology class and teacher. It made me realize that I loved Biology and wanted to pursue it in college. When I was in college, I spent one summer working at a summer camp with middle school students. I realized I had a passion for working with kids as well as Biology, and that made me decide to become a teacher.” I hope you enjoy biology as much as everyone else does!!
