Junior year is a very exciting time with so much going on. We are going to look back on our favorite memories from junior year. There was so much to remember and enjoy from this year. And since we are so excited for senior year we will talk about three things that we are excited to experience next year. 

Junior year memories:

1. Pep rally

This was a very fun event this year with it being back inside the gym. It was a great way to connect all of the grades and get people more involved in the community. We felt like it was a good way to increase school spirit as well. We hope they continue doing it the way that they did it this year because we liked it so much better than having it at the field. 

1. College Fairs

I enjoyed going to the college fairs a lot since it got me excited to apply and look at colleges. Senior year will get so busy, so I really enjoyed how the school opens the college fairs up to the younger students to get them interested in their futures. I like how diverse the school choices are and I think it’s so great how many colleges Hauppauge gets to come. 

1. Junior Awards

We both received awards at the junior awards this year. We felt like it was a great way to reward students for their hard work, determination, and contributions to the community. It felt special receiving these awards from colleges as well. We think it’s amazing how students can receive scholarships and recognition for many different things.

Things to look forward to in senior year:

1. Painting a parking spot 

We are so excited that we finally get to drive to school and use the student lot. Not only is it nice to finally be able to drive, but it will be so fun leading up to the year when we get to paint our parking spots. We can’t wait to pick our spots and maybe even do matching designs with all of our friends. This is something to look forward to starting off the year. 

1. Senior Sunrise 

We are looking forward to senior sunrise as a start to the year. There are so many senior events that we have been waiting for since we were freshmen and senior sunrise is one of them. It is so exciting to be with the grade and our friends taking pictures and being all together on our last first day of high school. 

1. Senior sports seasons

It will be both of our senior years in our sports. Krista is already the cheer captain, but for Maddie she will be a basketball captain for her senior year. We are finally done planning senior nights and making posters, now the underclassmen will do that for us. Both of us being varsity athletes all four years of high school, senior year is so special and makes us both feel so accomplished. 

Overall there is so much to look forward to next year. We have both thrived throughout the first three years of high school so that our senior year can be full of fun along with the learning aspect.
