Bio- Preston Podlas
Preston, while being a new edition, has certainly caused a big impact on the newspaper this year. He will be missed by everyone in the newspaper. Saying that his favorite part of the class was the freedom that was given. Originally joining journalism because he wanted to be more involved with the school during his senior year. Also due to being on the soccer and track teams here at the high school he offers a better look into sports related topics.
Future-
After graduation in June he plans to go to Cortland to study business economics. When asked why SUNY Cortland was his choice he said, “because I like the track teams and campus.” SUNY Cortland is rated as one of New York’s top public universities. Offering about 70 different majors with professors well versed in each. Cortland is lucky to have him and he will be missed. It sounds like Preston has a very successful career ahead of him.
Favorite Memories at Hauppauge-
Preston throughout his 4 years as a student at HHS has been very involved. Preston was a part of the soccer and track team. Being a part of a team here at Hauppauge is a great experience and as Preston said, being on the soccer and track team was one of his favorite memories. When asked what he will miss about Hauppauge he said, “I am going to miss my friends the most”. Friends are always memorable and it looks like Preston will have many good memories from Hauppauge High School!
