Protecting yourself during the pandemic

Protecting yourself during the pandemic

The coronavirus was first reported by an official from Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Coronavirus is having a fatal effect on people and so far countless people around the world have died. Many people will be harmed in the future, and to prepare for it, people need to know how to prevent viruses in our daily lives.

Last Friday, Dr. Chung Hee Yoon agreed to an interview about the coronavirus. She is a doctor who has been working at a hospital in Flushing for more than 10 years. Dr. Chung Hee Yoon answered some questions and the first question was how the virus spreads.

“The coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person. Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks.” Dr. Chung Hee Yoon said.

Coronavirus spreads from person-to-person. And she also said how to protect yourself from the virus. You always have to wear masks when going out, and wash your hands for more than 30 seconds when you get home. And it is important to keep a safe distance from people.

“If you are sick, do not go out except to get medical care. If your family is sick, you should use a separate room and bathroom and wash your hands often. It is important to wear a mask at home and to disinfect rooms, bathrooms and other things all the time.”

While it is important for people to thoroughly prevent themselves from being infected with the coronavirus, it is also important how to cope with it if people are infected with the virus. Dr.ddd also told us how to cope with the virus if your family has it.

The virus started from Wuhan, China, in December 2019 and continues to date. Many people have been damaged by the virus and people need to thoroughly follow how to prevent it so that there are no more victims.
