In my opinion, the 2021 Playoff Divisional Round between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills was a masterclass of a football game and probably the best football game I’ve ever seen. Most people remember it for Patrick Mahomes leading his Chiefs down into field goal range in a 13 second time frame. But that doesn’t tell the whole story of the game. It was neck and neck down to the wire. In the 4th quarter, there were a total of 28 points scored by the Bills and Chiefs. But the Bills drove down the field with about 20 seconds left in the football game and Josh Allen threw to a wide open Gabe Davis in the endzone for a touchdown which put them up by 3. Not only was this an amazing game by both teams but as an individual performance this put Gabe Davis on the map as a star receiver today. He had 8 catches for 208 yards and 4 touchdowns. This left 13 seconds left on the clock for Patrick Mahomes to drive down the field and attempt to tie the game, and he delivered. Patrick Mahomes set Harrison Butker up to make a 48 yard field goal and he nailed it which sent the game to overtime. Back then the overtime rules was that the team that if you score you would win, so the chiefs won the coin toss and they then drove down the field and Patrick Mahomes passed it to Travis Kelce for a touchdown to win the game 42-36. In my opinion, this was the greatest football game ever in my opinion because of explosive offensive performances and thrilling ending.
