Angelina Jolie, an American actress and filmmaker, and Brad Pitt, an American actor and film producer, created a very generous and successful foundation called the Jolie-Pitt Foundation. This foundation aimed to help with poverty, health, and conservation issues. Those were the top priorities although the foundation didn’t limit their donations. This foundation was created solely to aid humanitarian causes all around the world.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have donated generous amounts of money to charity. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation was created in 2006 and has since donated millions of dollars to many causes. Such causes include children’s health centers, hurricane relief construction/rebuilding, etc. Specifically speaking, this foundation has donated over 27 million dollars!

Angelina Jolie’s positive impact on society doesn’t stop there, along with many other things, she also founded and funds the National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children. Her generosity and participation in this center help provide free legal aid to young asylum seekers in the United States (Oscars.org) She also created the Jolie Legal Fellows Program, Kids in Need of Defence, and the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. The Jolie Legal Fellows Program aims to help protect children in Haiti.  Her Kids in Need of Defence was founded in partnership with Microsoft, to help children entering the United States immigration system unaccompanied and alone. And lastly, the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict funds education for children who are affected by natural disasters or war.  

Angelina Jolie has shown through her acts of generosity, time and her foundations, her empathy towards children in need, people lacking proper living conditions, and overall people in need of help, money, and support. Alongside her in her foundations, Brad Pitt and Microsoft have shown their contributing empathy and donations supporting these causes. Angelina Jolie is truly a genuine giver and has made a generously large positive impact on society and the world.
