What is the Governors Ball?

The Governors Ball, more commonly known as “Gov Ball” is a multi-day music festival. It is located in New York City usually in Queens, New York. The 2024 Governors Ball is taking place from June 7-9 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York City. The festival is made up of a diverse lineup of artists, with various genres. The genres range from rock to hip-hop, pop, and even indie. The festival takes place on a large open field which has multiple stages so many artists can perform at the same time. It is an all-day event that involves music performances, food, vendors, art installations, and interactive activities. 

Who is performing?

The headliners this year are Post Malone on Friday, The Killers on Saturday, and SZA on Sunday. These artists perform at the end of each night as the big closer, no one else performs at the same time as them but throughout the day other popular artists are performing at all times. Some of those popular performers include Rauw Alejandro, 21 Savage, Peso Pluma, Sexyy Red, TV Girl, and Sabrina Carpenter to name a few. 

Purchasing Tickets 

There are a lot of different opinions when it comes to purchasing tickets. Since it is a three-day event, you have the option to purchase a one-day ticket, a two-day ticket, or a three-day ticket. As of May 31st, the general–day Admission costs $179, the General Two-Day Admission costs $358, and the General Three-Day Admission ticket is $359. There are GA+ and VIP opinions which allow you to have access to special lounges, private bars, and air-conditioned restrooms.
