Olympic USA Trials
This summer, Paris will be hosting the Summer Olympics for the 33rd Summer Games. The USA Trials are set to be showcases of elite athleticism, and this is the chance for America’s top athletes to compete for a chance to represent the United States in the coming Olympics. These trails include track & field, gymnastics, swimming, and crucial team USA sports. These trails are extremely competitive, filled with known stars from past Olympics, and young athletes sometimes the same age as high school seniors.
Trails that have begun already
As of now, some trials have already commenced for the USA Olympic Team.
- Wrestling
- Marathon
- Shooting (rifle and pistol)
- Sailing
- Equestrian
In addition to these beginning trials, events like Gymnastics and Track & Field have begun their major competitions that lead up to the trials that can better your position when entering the trial day. Many classics are in late May, or early June to tune in for.
Star athletes that are coming back for more, and were spotted at trials and classics
- Simone Biles- This gymnastics legend is back at classics pulling her mesmerizing signature moves. She will be black after taking a break from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics
- Katie Ledecky- The dominant swimmer for the USA is set to compete again, looking to push her luck and prove she is the greatest female swimmer of all time.
- Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes- The beach volleyball duo is back for more and are seeking to get their first Olympic medal together after some impressive games at the international level
- Gabby Douglas- The one and only gymnast is back at classics, and might make her appearance at the trials
- Suni Lee- USA Gold medalist who suffered some kidney issues that almost made her ineligible ever to do gymnastics ever again, but she has pushed herself through the adversities
