Taylor Swift throughout her career has done tours for most of her albums, but there were a few that she never did a tour for. She decided that she wanted to change that. That she would do a longer concert that consisted of music from all of her albums together. Taylor started her career when she was 14 years old and today has 14 albums all of which will be included in the Eras Tour. Hence the name the Eras Tour. This tour started out in Arizona on March 17, 2023, and she is still continuing her tour all over the world today. Tickets to this tour, while very costly, were hard to get or sold out. Everyone knows who Taylor Swift is in some way. She has had a big impact on the world throughout her career. So when Taylor announced that she was doing this world tour all of her fans wanted the chance to go. Despite the tickets being of high cost her fans still tried to get the chance to go. 

Ticketmaster purposely overpriced the tickets because they knew that everyone would try to get tickets. When Taylor heard what they were doing she made a statement on social media saying that she was upset and was finding the situation “excruciating”. Many of the fans ended up trying to sue Ticketmaster for what they were doing with ticket prices for the tour. The Eras Tour tickets were in high demand by Taylor Swift fans, but not everyone could pay the high price to see her perform. It costs too much for some people. The average price to go to her concert was about $1,000.  The most expensive ticket was a little over $11,000. These prices were too high for most people to pay per ticket. 

Taylor realized that not everyone could afford the price to see her perform live and wanted to do something about it. She decided to create a movie of her whole concert that people could go to see at the movies. The movie was recorded from SoFi Stadium in L.A. at her last concert in the U.S. The movie is just under 3 hours long and contains most of her performances during this concert. It costs about $20 for an adult and $14 for children to see this in theaters. This movie of the tour was released on October 13, 2023, and was in theaters until January 12, 2024. It ran in theaters for 13 weeks before it was released for rent for $20 on streaming services.

Last week on Thursday night, March 14th, the Eras Tour movie started to stream on Disney+ for free if you have a subscription. It was released at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT. Disney+ is the only streaming service to have the Eras Tour movie for free. This is helping the movie and Taylor gain popularity with how many people have Disney+ and how many fans there are of Taylor Swift.
