So what does the degree entail? 

   This degree will draw upon literature, philosophy, archaeology, drama, and religion in order to teach about magic and show its role throughout the world. This program is shifting the idea that magic is irrelevant to the ‘modern people’. It delves into why people believe in what they do, things like lucky numbers, bad luck, and good luck rituals. This degree demonstrates that magic, whether you believe it or not, is still playing a role in a lot of people’s lives today. The history of some of our most mundane or typical things is all routed back to magical beliefs from many many years ago. 

  No, you won’t be performing rituals and spells in class every day, even though that sounds pretty awesome. This degree is more focused on understanding where these beliefs come from and how they influence people today.

   This degree is available starting September of 2024. It is coupled with the rise in people identifying as Wiccan or pagan. The most recent census shows that the amount of people identifying themselves as Wiccans or pagans is on an upward trend, so the timing of the start of this program couldn’t be more perfect. More and more young people are finding an interest in crystals, the spiritual realm, and above all else magic recently as well. This postgraduate degree appeals to those interests being observed in today’s teenagers.
