Many people struggle in their day-to-day with managing their time. There are many different strategies that you can use to help you with this problem. Some people may find it comes easy to them, others it might be harder to do. These strategies go from making a to-do list to prioritizing what needs to be done. Also many will push off their work to do it last minute which causes their work to not be their best. They’ll choose to go to a party or do something fun with their friends over getting homework done. In some cases, people just don’t know how to manage their time. To describe time management simply it’s when you divide up your time to do different things. It’s when you organize the things you need to do in your everyday life. According to Coursera, “Motivating ourselves is a core part of time management it takes a bit of effort not only to motivate yourself but to cultivate good habits”. This shows you that you need to want to manage your time in order for time management to work. In addition, by doing this you can only benefit and continue to excel. Time management is also when you set deadlines for yourself and give yourself an award for getting your work done. This is what time management is.
What do students struggle with when trying to manage their time?
Many students struggle with managing their time because they don’t have their priorities straight. Another reason they struggle is because they haven’t by themselves developed the skill on their own. In some cases, it’s not even their fault because they have dyslexia and it takes them longer to read something. Understood.org states “And kids who are struggling in school may also feel frustrated about tasks that are challenging for them. This may cause them to procrastinate or put off doing things.” This is just another reason why it’s hard for students to manage their time. So overall some of the reasons why they can’t manage their time well is because they procrastinate, don’t have their priorities straight, get frustrated, or get distracted.
