For example, the main idea of this article is “How to Write an Amazing Article”. Once you have your topic, then you need to come up with 2-4 subheadings. Subheadings are important because they give your article organization and order. Subheadings are sort of like a guide through your article. These steps are like an outline for your article, they help you to layout your piece.

Start Planning

Now that you have your article outlined, you can work on your rough draft. Write down the main things you want to say, and get out all your ideas. This helps more ideas form and the article’s overall flow. Think of it like a puzzle, the more you add, the more it comes together. It’s totally fine if there are errors and mistakes because this is just your first draft. After you feel you have completed your first draft, you can start to re-read and make adjustments.

Get Going

Now that you have finished your draft, it’s time to start your final piece! Using your draft, tweak your vocabulary to make sure your article sounds nice and has a good rhythm. Another thing you want to make sure you’re using is transitions. It’s easy to get carried away and just start babbling about your topic, but it’s important to keep simple techniques in mind. Some examples of transition words could be, furthermore, hence, lastly, finally, etc, the list could go on and on.

Final Touches

Finally (transition), you have reached the last step! This is also one of the most important steps. The last step in writing an article is to re-read, double-check, and add final details. Here are some things you should make sure to look for and check before saying you are finished. Number one, spelling!!! Spelling is something that should always be checked, even if autocorrect is on, there can always be mistakes. Second, punctuation…it’s important to make sure you didn’t accidentally put a comma for a period or the opposite. Third, lastly, make sure all your information (if used) is correct and cited (if needed). These steps are crucial for a good, well-written article!

Now go and try it yourself, making sure to keep all the previous information in mind! Hope this helped!
