Mrs. Kaminski is an English Teacher and The Soaring Eagle Newspaper Advisor at Hauppauge High School. Her passion is literature, specifically science fiction. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm and passion for her discipline with her eager, young, and intrinsically motivated students. Mrs. Kaminski encourages her students to make mistakes. Without mistakes, one would never create anything original.

She has crafted The Soaring Eagle to be the voice of Hauppauge High School’s student body. Regardless of the way technology evolves and changes, there will always be a need for writers and those with the skill to turn a word and voice an opinion. The Soaring Eagle’s purpose is to connect compelling, authentic stories to the Hauppauge student body and community.
